 Carolyn Caramel Photography Nicole Morningstar and Leif Oquist, both of Montague, plan to marry Aug. 20, 2011 at The Barn in New Era.
Nicole is the daughter of Deb and Bob Yonkman of Montague, and Frank and Sandi Morningstar of Whitehall. She is a 1994 graduate of Montague High School, and a 1998 graduate of Ferris State University. She is employed by RC Productions in Muskegon.
Leif is the son of Jeff and Della Oquist of Montague. He is a 1994 graduate of Montague High School, and is employed by Kotzian Tool, Inc., Shelby.
Kenneth (Nancy) Throop and Terrie (Ted) Posobiec, both of Coopersville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Throop, to Jarrod Moore, son of Dick (Isabelle) Moore, of Twin Lake, and Gloria Bernhardt, of Whitehall. The couple is planning a May 7, 2011 wedding.
The future bride is a graduate of Coopersville High School and Baker College, and she is employed at West Shore Oral Surgery Associates. The future groom is a graduate of Whitehall High School, is a veteran of the U.S. Army (Infantry), served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, is currently attending MCC, and he is employed at Alcoa Howmet. The couple will reside in Whitehall.
Jamie Myers, formerly of Irons, and Todd McKenna, of Gladwin, announce their engagement and plans for a Sept. 10 wedding. The brideto- be is a 2003 graduate of Free Soil High School and a 2007 graduate with an associate’s degree in applied sciences of nuclear medicine from Ferris State University. She is the daughter of Kenton and Shelly Myers of Irons.
The future groom is a 1993 graduate of Gladwin High School and a 1999 graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor of science degree. He is the son of Jesse and Joyce McKenna of Gladwin.
Amanda Putnam and Kyle Goudreau, both of Montague, plan to marry in August, 2012.
Amanda is the daughter of Cindy and Mark Putnam. Kyle is the son of Rebecca and Charles Goudreau.
Kyle served in the U.S. Navy and is currently deployed to Kuwait with the National Guard.
Elizabeth Ann Pyle and Christopher William Shingler were united in marriage on Sept. 25, 2010, in a 4:30 p.m. ceremony at Crooked Creek Ranch on Lake Leelanau.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Linda Pyle of Whitehall. The groom is the son of Mike and Pat Glynn of Montague.
Allison Pyle- Potter, sister of the bride, officiated at the wedding ceremony.
Maisie Potter, Haley and Chloe Kinney, and Lauren and Carlie Douglas were the flower girls in the wedding ceremony.
Ushers during the ceremony were Adam Pyle, brother of the bride, and Nick Potter, brother-in-law of the bride.
The reception was held following the wedding ceremony at Crooked Creek Ranch on Lake Leelanau.
The bride and groom spent their wedding trip in Bozeman, Montana and Yellowstone National Park.
Both the bride and groom are 1998 graduates of Whitehall High School.
The bride attended Michigan State University, and received a masters degree in social work from Grand Valley State University. The bride is now a child and family counselor at Arbor Circle in Grand Rapids.
The groom works in landscape and ground management at Double L Enterprises in Montague. The couple now resides in Spring Lake, Michigan.
